After working as a staff surgeon at the Orthopaedic Clinic of the University of Brescia (1991–1997), during which he completed his specialisation in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, he left the public health service to work in private practice as a plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon and as a hand and upper limb surgeon.
Since 1995 he has worked in aesthetic medicine and surgery, reconstructive surgery and hand and upper limb surgery. From 2001 to the end of 2017 he headed the Hand Surgery Service of the Istituto Clinico Città Studi in Milan. Since 2019 he has been a Key Opinion Leader for Teoxane Italy.
He is the author or co-author of about 80 papers published in Italian and international journals.
