Temple rejuvenation with filler

Loss of volume in the temples is one of the first signs of ageing and can also occur at a young age, especially in slim people. A youthful temple is flat or only slightly convex: the facial contours reflect light in soft curves, with no unsightly shadows around the eyes. With ageing and volume loss, the temple becomes concave, the soft transition from forehead to cheekbone is interrupted and the outer edge of the eye socket becomes visible.

The tail of the eyebrow moves downwards and backwards, so the brow looks shorter. Restoring volume to the temples brings back their flat or slightly convex shape and contributes to a lifting effect on the eyebrow, which looks longer, while supporting any later treatments of the middle and lower face.

The temples are often overlooked in aesthetic treatments, yet rejuvenating this area has great potential to restore a youthful shape to the face.
