Dermo Ablation Surgery is a recent innovation in dermatological surgery. This Italian-made device can treat a large number of skin blemishes in a few minutes, almost always without anaesthesia. Also called plasma technology, it uses long-wave radiofrequency to create an electric arc that vaporises skin lesions safely, without causing heat damage. The electrode does not touch the skin, it only skims it.
The treatment causes very little pain: an anaesthetic cream applied for a few minutes is often enough. It causes the elastic fibres to retract and stimulates fibroblasts and collagen fibres. The device offers 25 treatment settings, so the power and frequency can be chosen for each type of blemish.
